BURBANK, Calif. — When YouTube experienced a rare global service outage on Tuesday, between 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. (PDT), Pornhub’s traffic was up. Way up.
“When you can’t tube, you fap instead,” Pornhub researchers said today.
Traffic to Pornhub surged during the YouTube outage, reaching 21 percent above daily averages at 7 p.m., Pornhub researchers disclosed.
“That’s a significant increase by millions of additional viewers during Pornhub’s peak evening hours,” said Pornhub researchers, adding that a Mashable reporter queried the adult site about a possible spike.
