MONTREAL — Pure Taboo today released “Act Two: The Escape,” the second episode of the studio’s new series, “Anne, A Taboo Parody.”
“Anne — Act Two: The Escape” picks up where the first episode, “The Orphanage,” left off — Orphan Anne (Eliza Jane) runs away from the Transition House for Wayward Girls, straight to the door of the sprawling mansion of rich businessman Mr. Westfield, aka Daddy (Derrick Pierce).
“When I walked into your house today, I knew I had walked in to somewhere special. And I'm going to be the greatest daughter you've ever dreamed of — even if it is only for pretend,” Anne said earnestly. “'I have spent 18 years searching for my parents. They abandoned me. But you won't.”
Bree Mills, who wrote the script and co-directed the series with Craven Moorehead, said that “this episode shifts from Anne’s sad life at the orphanage to a promising one within the walls of the Westfield mansion.
“Eliza had such a difficult role to take on, portraying emotions ranging from sorrow and fear to joy and exuberance, and she nailed each and every one of them. She’s an incredible talent with an amazing future ahead of her.”
“Anne — Act Two: The Escape” is available online at PureTaboo.com/Anne-Act-Two-The-Escape and also stars Casey Calvert, Seth Gamble, Mick Blue and Elena Koshka, with cameos by Kristen Scott and Tommy Pistol.
