Set for release in November, the coffee-table book will contain more than 300 pages of photographs, profiles and interviews.
"Since porn stars are so much like rock stars now, he wanted this book to feel like a pop culture homage to the erotic business," Friend said. Legendary rocker Dave Navarro and Hustler founder Larry Flynt each composed essays for the book.
Grecco had thousands of photos but needed help getting the book off the ground. Friend agreed to get involved in the project and spent months putting the book together, doing interviews and writing copy with his buddy and former FHM Executive Editor Rob Hill.
"Rob's the one that put Tera Patrick on the cover of FHM," Friend said. "That really made her an avatar to the crossover potential of adult stars."
Grecco is known for dynamic portraiture and capturing the essence of his subjects. Friend is a music journalist and multimedia personality who lives in his hometown, Los Angeles.
