SAN JOSE, Calif. — LELO today is celebrating its fifth anniversary of its entry into the pleasure products market of rotating and vibrating items.
Five years ago it launched three novelty products for female pleasure — Ida, Tara and Hula Beads — that “conquered the competitors all around the world,” company officials said.

Here’s a rundown of the three LELO products:
- Tara brings an new sensation into the bedroom — swirling, revolving and vibrating inside as users make love and attempt shared orgasms. LELO came home with a big win at the XBIZ Awards with Tara several years ago as it won the Luxury Toy/Line of the Year award;
- Ida is one of the most innovative couple toys in the market; it’s a remote-controlled couples’ vibrator worn by women that lets users share powerful vibrations and intense rotations from within; and,
- Hula Beads, another big winner at the XBIZ Awards by being recognized as Sex Toy of the Year several years ago, are beads that rotate and vibrate.
LELO officials said that the pleasure products makers is also approaching its first-year anniversary of its most successful launch ever with Sona, reaching the record sales levels with more than 56,000 units sold just within months of the launch.
