CYBERSPACE — Christopher Zeischegg, formerly known as adult star Danny Wylde, wings to New York City this weekend to attend the Brooklyn Book Festival, and then travels back to the West Coast later this month for Lambda LitFest Los Angeles, in support of his adult industry memoir, “Body to Job.”
This Sunday, he will appear on a panel titled “Sex and the Candid Narrative” alongside authors Chelsea Hodson (“Tonight I’m Someone Else”) and Michael Arceneaux (“I Can’t Date Jesus”). They, and moderator Naomi Extra, will “discuss the ways they write about sexuality to share universal truths and personal observations about human nature,” notes a festival rep.
"Though still often considered taboo, frank discussions about sexuality can enlighten our sociocultural experiences. Luckily, there’s a recent body of honest, informative and candid writing about sexuality written from the perspective of personal experiences.”
The Brooklyn Book Festival panel discussion is set for Sunday, 3:00 p.m., at North Stage, Cadman Plaza East. Click here for more information.
Later this month, Zeischegg will join a Lambda LitFest Los Angeles panel titled “Queer/Sex/Work,” alongside Vanessa Carlisle, Chingy (aka Lani Ching), Antonia Crane and Softcore Mija, with moderator Natalie West.
"From Stormy Daniels to Cardi B, it has been a watershed year for sex workers in the media. Yet, queer sex workers remain on the margins of LGBTQ advances despite having always been at the center of our history, their stories too often told by others or not told at all,” notes the festival rep. “This panel affords queer sex workers a space to tell their own funny, tender, heartwarming, harrowing and complicated stories in their own words.”
The Lambda LitFest Los Angeles panel is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29, from 2:15-3:30 p.m. at the Japanese-American Cultural & Community Center in Downtown Los Angeles. Click here for details.
