"We want to push the envelope of the digital format," Outlaw Worldwide Entertainment/All In Media CEO Anthony Tedesco told XBIZ. "More in-depth features with better plots that are going to look a lot more mainstream because they're going to be shot like a mainstream film, using the same techniques and taking advantage of the new technology."
Tedesco said that Outlaw Worldwide/All In will make "about six large-budget features" under the contract. The first production will be an Anne Rice-style erotic thriller with a vampire as a main character — "It's not a horror movie," Tedesco said — written by a mainstream comic-book writer. Tedesco expects to start production within 90 days.
Plans call for the productions to be made available in hardcore and softcore versions. "People will be able to rent it in Blockbuster, download it off the Internet, even cellphone delivery," Tedesco said. "I've been shooting and sitting on a ton of content. I was looking for a deal where I could do mainstream and hardcore."
Outlaw's 2006 release "The Sex Friends Forgot," starred Mia Moore, now known as Nikki Nine, a former Hustler Honey.
"I have a love for film, and I hope it shows," Tedesco said. "I want people to notice that I'm not just another guy who bought a camera shooting porn. I have a love for the craft of filmmaking, and I hope that will show."
