MTV ‘True Life’ Casting for Adult Industry Episode

NEW YORK — MTV documentary series “True Life” has put out an open casting call for people working in the adult industry.

The episode will be called “True Life: I’m in The Sex Industry.” The press release, posted on Adult Industry News, calls for people from all areas of adult entertainment including retail and production.

“Do you work at a store that only sells sexually explicit content and products?” MTV said in the release. “Are you a stripper at a big city nightclub? Part of a production crew that shoots adult films? Making big money as an escort in Las Vegas? Starring in your own daily sex show online? Do you work in a factory that manufactures sexual toys? Do you hide your job or flaunt it? MTV wants to know what your life in the industry is really like.”

MTV also requests that potential cast members be at least 18 years of age, but should appear under 28 years-old.

The award-winning documentary series has been on the air since 1988 featuring young people with unusual lives. Produced from a youth culture perspective with subjects varying points of view, the series often takes on compelling topics, like credit card debt, crystal meth addiction, autism, Tourette’s Syndrome and interracial relationships, as well as lighter subjects like competitive eating, professional gaming and sumo wrestling.

This will be the first time the show has approached the topic of the adult industry.
