CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Kelly Holland’s animal rescue fundraiser, “Vice Is Nice,” will take place on Saturday evening, so make sure you save the date for this annual affair held at her four-acre Rancho Providencia property in Chatsworth.
Every year, Vice Is Nice brings together animal lovers and adult entertainment industry luminaires who help raise much-needed funds for animal rescue. The event, which attracted 900 last year, is now in its ninth year.
Holland told XBIZ today that this year the annual fundraiser is particularly “special” for her.
“Given that I am coming out of nine especially challenging months … there was some doubt as to whether I would host Vice Is Nice this year,” Holland said. “I'm very happy to say that the clouds have parted and the blue skies that were always there are back and in plain sight.”
The 9th annual event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until midnight at Holland’s property, will include music and dancing, red-carpet photos, vegetarian food, prizes, tarot card readings and more.
“This year we have more than 100 raffle items that include a four-day cruise to Ensenada for two people,” Holland said. “We have two of those trips, and the cruise is a salsa cruise so get your dance moves polished off.
“If you love golf, we have foursomes at several of the best courses in the valley. And, as always, lots and lots of amazing baskets for pets,” she said.
"Our poker tournament has grown to 120 seats, and this year we have several celebrities playing and lots of Penthouse Pets at the tables, so it will be fun. There are 10 prizes at the poker tournament, with first place being a large 4K flat screen.
“But the most valuable thing at this year's Vice Is Nice is the chance to hang out with friends in a great, relaxed space and celebrate all of things that bring us together as a community. See you there ... Uber [it],” she said.
This year's Vice Is Nice will raise funds for The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA), a no-kill shelter she runs that provides rescue, adoption and sanctuary for abandoned and abused companion and farm animals. Funds also will be sent over to other local rescue organizations.
