LOS ANGELES — Johnny Goodluck is celebrating his first nomination as best male newcomer. The citation came from the Urban X Awards.
Goodluck has snagged best clip artist gongs from the Inked Awards and XBIZ Cam Awards; this latest citation is the performer's first recognition as a newcomer to the industry.
The winner of his category will be determined by fan voting.
“I can’t even describe the feeling when I heard I was nominated,” he said. “This is huge and I’m honored.”
He asked his fans to “vote daily and help me take this award home. It would mean a lot to me.”
The Urban X Awards will be held Sunday, August 19 at the Globe Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Ricky Johnson, Richelle Ryan and Cindy Starfall will share hosting duties.
The show is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The red carpet takes place from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and the awards program will start at 7 p.m.
The winner’s circle hosts will be TS Foxxy and Ana Foxx; the red carpet hosts are Sara Jay and Farrah Foxx; and the live social media hosts will be September Reign, Della Dane, Misty Stone and Dior Love.
