LOS ANGELES — A new documentary titled “Do Women Have a Higher Sex Drive?” explores the scientific, historical, biological and social aspects behind the female sex drive and female gaze.
The movie from filmmaker Jan-Willem Breure features experts such as Nicole Caldwell, the former chief and editor of Playgirl, who’s also written for Martha Stewart Living, Reader’s Digest, Mother Earth News, Thrillist.
Marcia Chong, a.k.a. Dr Date, a published author and dating expert, also appears in the movie. She is the owner of MCC Advies and communication consulting company that specializes in the marketing of large brands like KPN, Circular Valley and Philips. She applied her business background to dating, to allow her clients to enhance their branding and exposure in the dating market.
According to the movie’s description, “For years men have underestimated women. For years men have thought they were smarter than women, but now women outnumber men in colleges. For years men have thought that women should not work, now women are the majority of the American workforce. For years men have thought that women could not lead, now women are the majority of the American managers are women. For years men have thought women could not fight. But now women fight alongside men in military. For years men have thought women had a lower sexdrive? Can men be proven wrong again?”
Examining the rise of sex toys, the success behind “Fifty Shades of Grey” and revealing what women look for in a partner, the movie is said to educate and entertain with multiple experts dispelling old myths.
