COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Police Department said adult superstar Stormy Daniels was arrested after allegedly touching three different undercover vice police officers during her performance at the Sirens club.
Police said she was in violation of state law barring anyone who is not a family member from touching a dancer who is either nude or semi-nude.
An arrest document signed by officer Mary S. Praither alleges “an employee on the premise of a sexually oriented business who appeared at the time of offense nude or semi nude, to wit: topless and wearing a G-string did knowingly touch a patron in a specified anatomical area, to wit: Officer Mary Praither #1990. Did put both hands on officers buttocks, both hands on officers breast, then put her breast in officers face. Who is not a member of the employees immediate family.”
In a statement posted to the Columbus Police Department Twitter account, the arrest was part of "a long-term investigation into allegations of human trafficking, prostitution, along with other vice related violations."
Two other individuals were arrested in connection with the investigation, police said.
Daniels was arrested on three counts of misdemeanor sex offenses. She was released on a $6,000 bail within hours of being arrested.
Her attorney, Michael Avenatti, said Daniels would enter a not guilty plea and that she would not personally appear in court.
The arrest has forced Daniels to cancel a second performance scheduled tonight at Sirens.
Official Statement From @StormyDaniels: As a result of what happened last night, I will unfortunately be unable to go forward with tonight's scheduled performance. I deeply apologize to my fans in Columbus.
