For the new video of Dr. Luke's Remix of "Girlfriend," Lavigne and costar Lil Mama are seen driving around in Evans' Blush-colored Mustang GT convertible. The Mustang, which has it's own website www.mypinkmustang.com, is spotted in several segments of the video that was filmed at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles on June 1.
"Thanks to Galpin Auto Sports, my car is a total rockstar now," Evans said. "My boys at GAS got the request for a pink ride and they knew exactly who to call on. She truly has a life of her own and she's even paying her own bills. The video shoot was incredible. Lil Mama was very cool. She's the only other woman to ever drive my car. I've always loved Avril so this was a huge honor."
The video is currently airing on MTV and BET and can be found on-line at Youtube.
Evans has made her own exclusive behind-the-scenes video, shot and edited by Chris Evans.
The custom car was created by the crew from MTV's Pimp My Ride. The first model was initially snapped up by singer Kelly Clarkson but wasn't kept. "She didn't like the idea of sharing the same style of vehicle with someone that takes off their clothes," Evans said.
Evan's Mustang also has won awards at car shows, taking home 1st place in its division at both the Mustangs at the Peterson Museum and Queen Mary shows.
