LOS ANGELES — Distributor East Coast News backed Gary Wheeler, CEO of XTC Adult Supercenter in St. Petersburg, Fla., with a donation of adult novelty items and other products in support of Wheeler’s community organizing efforts during Gay Pride month.
Adult toys and other gay-friendly products from CalExotics, Doc Johnson, Nu Sensuelle, Pipedream, Screaming O, Topco, Wicked and Wet, among others, were part of the donation package.
A company rep says Wheeler is a fixture in his community, particularly during Pride month.
“We’re thrilled to support Gary, who is tireless in his efforts in support of the LGBT community in the St. Petersburg area,” said Lynda Mort, vice president of sales and marketing.
“Being able to offer our retailers support at a consumer level is one of the fringe benefits of being a large distributor. We have the resources and we understand the challenges our brick-and-mortar clients face.”
The donated items were used for product demonstrations, contest giveaways and more.
“I am grateful to East Coast News for supporting our Pride event and our efforts on behalf of LGBT individuals, here and everywhere,” Wheeler said.
“We had an amazing time celebrating Pride at XTC Adult Superstore.”
