Included in Lucas' auction package, which kicked off on June 14 with a starting bid of $55, are one unprocessed disposable Fuji camera (27 exposures), one photocopy of Lucas' signed release form (for legal purposes, MIX NYC is keeping the original), and one signed note from Lucas. The auction ends June 24 at noon, PDT.
"This isn't my first time donating a camera to MIX NYC, so I know what kinds of photos they're expecting from me," Lucas said. "I had this particular camera on set with me during the filming of my company's first sex comedy 'The Intern,' so there's definitely some racy stuff on there any porn fan will love. I also had it when my office threw me a surprise birthday party, which was a nice memory. I believe my butt crack was involved in that too somehow, but I guess you'll just have to bid on the camera to find out how."
Creative folk from all walks of art personally donated cameras to this year's auction, including John Cameron Mitchell, Norah Jones, Gregg Araki, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kathy Griffin, Joan Allen, Neil Patrick Harris and 150 more.
