Digital Playground Debuts Stormy Daniels' 'Highway Home'

BURBANK, Calif. — Digital Playground has announced tomorrow’s release of “Highway Home,” directed by Stormy Daniels.

Daniels recently discussed her directorial debut in an exclusive XBIZ interview.

Featured in Daniel’s directorial debut for Digital Playground are Kimber Woods, Arya Fae, Jenna Sativa, Derrick Pierce, Ryan McLane and Xander Corvus.

According to the studio, “Highway Home” tells the story of a young woman who fled home after a harrowing altercation between her stepfather and stepbrother. After five years on the road trying to find herself, she decides to travel home to make amends with her estranged mother. On her journey, she meets a couple of troublemaking travelers who help her get to her destination safely.

Woods says working with Daniels was “absolutely amazing.”

“I love filming for her, she’s a phenomenal director and one of the nicest women I’ve ever met,” Woods explains. “This was my first time starring in a feature and I’m just so honored that she was the one who directed it! She’s hands down one of my favorite directors. She really makes her sets feel so comfortable and she treats her cast and crew like family. I really hope to work on more projects with her in the future!”

Daniels provides insight into her directorial style.

“I approach directing each scene differently depending what the script is and what is needed of the talent,” Daniels reveals. “If it’s very dramatic and suspenseful, I like to keep the crew nice and quiet and let people work.”

“Stormy was an absolute dream to work with,” Digital Playground Product Manager Mo Sin said. “She handled herself like a true professional and managed to get the best out of the cast. It didn’t even feel like this was the first feature she directed for us, it’s been an incredible fit since day one.”

The release of Highway Home coincides with Digital Playground’s 25th anniversary. Founded in 1993, the brand continues to provide its audience with unparalleled storytelling and production value. These cornerstones of the brand’s productions have been at the heart of all projects since the very beginning, featuring prominently throughout each original feature film, including this new feature from Stormy Daniels.
