Kink.com to Launch The Training of O in July

SAN FRANCISCO — Leading online fetish content producer Kink.com will launch its latest website, The Training of O on July 2.

“It’s a startling site,” TrainingofO.com Director James Mogul told XBIZ. “It’s ‘reality BDSM’ so that elicits a lot of reactions, and I think the content is super-strong.”

A preview page has been set up at the site’s URL with a countdown meter ticking off days and hours until launch, as well as a trailer giving viewers an idea of what to expect from TrainingofO.com. The trailer also is available on BehindKink.com.

“I would say it’s realistic in terms of what you might expect to see in an actual BDSM exchange,” Mogul said.

The basic premise of the site involves models videotaped over a weeklong course in submission training. Filmed documentary style, the nearly four-minute trailer shows sex scenes with four different models, including professional adult performer Lorelei Lee, and features caning, heavy bondage, hardcore footage and voiceovers from the performers describing their experiences.

“I’ve actually developed a training program,” Mogul said. “We take applicants and interview them and develop a curriculum based on their experience. Some girls we worked with are very experienced and some girls are brand new and I think we’re hitting a wide range of the scope.

“We are going to mix it up. Right now, the plan is to go with about 75 percent fresh talent and about 25 percent of the content will be experienced, known talent that we can kind of push boundaries with a little bit.”

Shot at the company’s new production facility, the massive San Francisco Armory building, Mogul is able to utilize several different sets to create a gritty, authentic atmosphere.

“The spaces are beautiful. The decay is beautiful. It’s like walking onto a movie set all made for you,” Mogul said. “There’s really nothing that needs to be done in terms of the aesthetics, but there is a lot that needs to be done in terms of making production practical and that’s coming together very, very quickly.”

While TrainingofO.com has appeal for the serious BDSM player, in a previous interview with XBIZ, Kink.com CEO Peter Ackworth said, “I think when you look at bondage, you can start with just pulling someone’s hair or just rough sex and that can graduate into light bondage and then heavy bondage. At this stage, we’re putting together several sites which are not quite as hardcore and that will hopefully attract the interest of some people that don’t want to dive straight into things.”

Mogul says that watching TrainingofO.com will be a learning experience for BDSM-curious viewers.

Kink.com, formerly known as Cybernet Entertainment, was founded by Ackworth in 1987 with his first fetish website, Hogtied.com.

This year, four sites are being added to the 10 others already under the Kink.com umbrella. The new sites include DeviceBondage.com, TSSeduction.com and TheTrainingofO.com, which is soon to be followed with MyFirstTimeBound.com.

Mogul also is developing LeatherDaddy.com, which will be Kink.com’s first gay-oriented fetish site.

“Ultra hyper-masculine aesthetic is what I’m looking for,” said Mogul. “It’s going to be super hot. We’ll be shooting some stuff that is young; from the newer generation of leather culture. There will be lots of boots. Lots of tight T-shirts and just really masculine guys just unleashing their sexuality; we’re hoping to elicit some really powerful sex scenes.”

According to Marketing Director John Sander, the company also is entertaining possibilities of partnering with video production companies for a line of fetish-inspired, feature-style DVD productions.
