NEW YORK — A Kickstarter campaign has been launched for the Ohnut, a stretchy wearable device that approaches “painful sex holistically” by allowing users to control the depth of penetration.
Lady Parts Justice League Emily Sauer created the Ohnut to address her own experience with dyspareunia (painful sex). In 2017, she finished a body-safe version of the Ohnut, which uses compression technology and a patent-pending linking ring that fits around the base of a phallic object.
The Ohnut has been used in a clinical study and is backed by doctors and researchers. The company also plans to ship the wearable device to doctors and sex educators.
“When Emily started this journey, she called upon a community she didn’t know,” the company said. “Now Ohnut is backed by renowned surgeons, pelvic floor physical therapists, and sexual health educators all over the U.S. Ohnut is guided by a medical and scientific advisory board. This board is launching a clinical study with the product. As of recent, several cancer research centers have reached out to offer Ohnut to their patients.”
The Ohnut has already surpassed its $50,000 Kickstarter goal. For more information, click here.
