Chingy Set to Rock XBIZ Miami Pool Party

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce that joining the lineup of exclusive special events at this year’s XBIZ Miami is American rapper, singer and actor Chingy — known for hit classics such as “Right Thurr,” Pullin’ Me Back” and “Holidae Inn.”

Chingy grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and began rapping in his late teens. He toured as an opening act with fellow hip-hop artist Nelly in the summer of 2002 and then became a protégé of Ludacris, who signed him to his record label Disturbing Tha Peace.

The rapper’s 2003 debut single, “Right Thurr,” put him on the musical map as an all around fun act who specialized in catchy, club-friendly beats with simple lyrics that were easy to sing-along. His debut album, “Jackpot,” sold two million copies.

A double threat, Chingy made his acting debut in 2005 when he starred in the hit comedy series, “My Wife and Kids.” He then acted in T.V. comedies “One on One” and “George Lopez.” In 2006, he made a cameo in the blockbuster film, “Scary Movie 4.” Other acting ventures included an appearance in “Yo Momma,” and a role in “Speed-Dating.”

Recently, Chingy signed to Bungalo Records, which is distributed by Universal Music Group. His most recent project, titled “DeadRose,” is currently in the works.

Presented by Chaturbate.com, XBIZ Miami is the industry’s biggest summer event, attracting a record number of key industry players, plus established and up-and-coming talent as it completely takes over the Mondrian Hotel from Tuesday, May 29, through Friday, June 1, for action-packed days and nights full of business and pleasure — culminating on Thursday, May 31, with the 2018 XBIZ Cam Awards show, presented by MyFreeCams.
