Altitude Intimates Show Welcomes Strong Turnout on Day 1

LAS VEGAS — The Altitude Intimates Show came back big and strong on the first day of its latest edition, showcasing a wide selection of intimate apparel and pleasure products.

Returning for its second year, Altitude made its presence known with bold branding and a packed show floor that featured a diverse selection of lingerie and toys.

Christopher Scharff, an apparel industry vet, and the moderator of tomorrow’s slate of Altitude Intimates Show seminars, said that the first day of Altitude is going “extremely well” and enjoying an “amazing turnout.”

“The fashion show [that kicked off Altitude Day 1] this morning was very classy and upscale,” Scharff said. “Our attendance is better than last year, vendors are happy with the traffic. People are happy to be here.”

Tomorrow promises to be just as satisfying, Scharff says, with a wide range of seminars to educate retailers on everything from navigating Amazon’s influence on online sales, digital marketing and the state of the lingerie industry, among other topics.

Showcasing a combination of lingerie and pleasure products, Xgen Products’ booth focused heavily on its selection of intimate apparel for men and women. Xgen Products President Andy Green said that a major theme for the company is its embrace of colors.

“We see so much black and red lingerie that we wanted Lapdance to be more colorful,” Green said, noting Lapdance’s unique shades of blue, green and purple.

“We also added four new Lapdance shoes — which we haven’t expanded in a while,” Green noted, pointing out that Xgen purposely keeps its collections small.

“We want to minimize the work for retailers and make it easier for them to sell,” Green said.

Xgen also showcased its new Teacher’s Pet collection of sexy schoolgirl skirts in refreshing turquoise and magenta colors. “This is the bread and butter line to have in stores,” Green said of the always-popular sexy get-up. Another selling point of the new collection is its Velcro closure that fits a range of sizes.

The Rabbit Company showcased its newest addition, the Couples Rabbit — a C-shaped vibe that’s topped off by rabbit ears and proudly promotes that its features licensed We-Vibe technology.

At the Entrenue booth, COTR Inc. brand ambassador Tracy Felder represented the premium manufacturer’s three brands, b-Vibe, Le Wand and The Cowgirl. Showcasing the brand’s latest additions, Felder also discussed upcoming new releases including new attachments for The Cowgirl, which was presented in the booth with a sleek black branded backdrop, cowgirl hats and the premium riding sex machine sitting atop a bale of hay.

Other new COTR releases include a new b-Vibe Cinco — the five-bead follow-up to the b-Vibe Triplet, which features flexible tapered size beads and an easy-grip handle and multiple motors (two in the b-Vibe Triplet and three in the Cinco.)

The Le Wand massager is getting a smaller sibling with the upcoming release of the Le Wand Petite, a smaller version of the original edition, and Felder teased an upcoming attachment for men.

Nearby, Warm Inc. showcased its flagship product, the Warm heat-based bedroom accessory alongside Touch, the company’s new automated dispensing system for warmed-up lubricant.

“Showcasing the two brands together really amplifies the brand,” Warm Inc. co-founder Janine said. Also bolstering the company’s presence is this month’s Cosmopolitan magazine, which features Warm in a cover story about the benefits of warmth in the bedroom.

“We’ll also be in Australia by the end of the month,” Janine said.

We-Vibe will be hosting its 10th anniversary party tonight as part of Altitude’s poolside “Meet & Greet Under the Stars” party from 7-11 p.m., where the maker of the iconic couples vibe will celebrate its history in the industry.

We-Vibe Marketing Manager Stephanie Keating said that at Altitude the company is showcasing its collection of pleasure products at the booths of its distributors. Among We-Vibe’s latest additions is the Limited-Edition Anniversary Collection, pairing two of the brand’s most popular vibrators, Sync and Tango, together in an exclusive, travel-ready play case.

“People are really excited about this item,” Keating said, “there are people that have been collecting every edition of the We-Vibe couples vibe.”

Holiday Products returned to Altitude with a sizeable booth showcasing a wide selection of items from leading brands such as CalExotics, We-Vibe, MyStim, Classic Erotica and Le Wand, among many others.

“We’re showcasing the latest releases and the bestsellers,” Holiday Products’ Senior Account Manager Molly Romeo said. “The show’s been going great; we’ve been seeing a lot of new faces and a lot of current customers.”

Altitude continues tomorrow with seminars set from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Main Ballroom of the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
