CYBERSPACE — Director Greg Lansky was profiled by Vice France in a feature, “At 13 I already wanted to do porn.”
Writer Romuald Gadegbeku described a meeting with Lansky during which they explored his entry into the pornography scene, a business he’d wanted to be involved in since he was 13.
“I was fascinated by Penthouse and Playboy,” Lansky said. He explained that even though he has no college degree and did poorly in school, he “always knew how to sell… always had the chat.” The two discussed Lansky’s first film, which was funded by a friend’s mother with a spare $20,000.
“I was 22,” he said, “I had just earned $1,250 in four months of work. But everything had changed for me. For the first time, I had done something that I loved. I finally found what I was going to do with my life.”
