TEMPE, Ariz. — The Phoenix Forum will host panels on Friday featuring iWantEmpire fetish artist PrincessCamryn and brand ambassador Wesley Woods. The two panels will be a part of Cam U, a series of educational sessions at the Phoenix Forum dedicated to the business interests of cam performers, broadcasters and hosts.
Woods will participate in the “What Models Want” panel from 10-10:45 a.m. PDT. The seminar will focus on the importance of picking a cam network or studio as a partner. It will also discuss what models look for when choosing between available platforms, the importance of the technology behind cam platforms and that models must keep in mind how they're treated by network and studio staff.
“I’m looking forward to sharing my experience and comments with other panel members at this exciting discussion,” Woods said. “Being a part of iWantEmpire has shown me firsthand the value of being with the right brand and network and being able work with great people in a supportive environment.”
PrincessCamryn will participate in the “#MeToo and Live Cams” panel from 1-1:45 p.m. (PDT). The discussion will cover the impact the #MeToo movement has had on the adult industry and how it might continue to force new dialogue about and changes to the status quo.
“I’m very honored to join this very important panel and share my thoughts on such a timely subject,” PrincessCamryn said. “We are at a very pivotal point in history where we can make powerful decisions that will impact the way women are treated and perceived moving forward.”
The two panels will be moderated by Dr. Chauntelle Tibbals, an author and sociologist specializing in popular culture, work/organizations, media, technology, sexuality and gender.
Tibbals, who is co-sponsoring the event, said, “When reflecting on issues impacting performers and models it’s always best to go to the source. I’m very excited to help create space for a seminar that’s doing just that. ‘What Models Want’ is a unique opportunity for people in the industry to learn directly from models, including Wesley Woods, which is hugely significant.
“It’s almost impossible to fully articulate the impact #MeToo has had on wider society, but rarely do we hear anything about the ways this movement has impacted adult industry spaces. I am very excited to deep dive into this issue with some truly insightful members of the community, including PrincessCamryn.”
Both panels will take place in the Palm F room of the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel, 60 E. Fifth St., Tempe, AZ 85281.
