Lawyer Reportedly Used Trump Org Email Address to Pay Stormy Daniels

WASHINGTON — Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels' attorney, confirmed Friday that President Trump's personal lawyer used his Trump Organization's email account to communicate details of a $130,000 payment transfer to the adult superstar.

Daniels allegedly had an affair with Trump before his time in the Oval Office and was paid through a nondisclosure agreement. She sued Trump this week, claiming the nondisclosure agreement is null and void because Trump never signed it.

Avenatti, a Los Angeles-based attorney, provided an email to CNN in which Trump counsel Michael Cohen confirmed the transfer of funds to Daniels' former attorney, Keith Davidson.

“In the email, both Cohen's personal email account and TrumpOrg.com email account were used. The deposit was confirmed to Cohen by a First Republic Bank employee,” CNN reported.

Avenatti said Cohen's use of his business email to conduct this transaction could be an indication that he was acting in an official capacity as a legal counsel to Trump when he transferred the money to Daniels.

While Avenatti’s revelation brings the payment to Daniels closer to Trump himself, it is not proof that he knew about it.

Meanwhile, in other news regarding the adult superstar, CBS has landed an interview with Daniels.

Anderson Cooper taped an interview on Wednesday with Daniels that will air on the CBS newsmagazine "60 Minutes," where Cooper is a regular contributor.

On Thursday afternoon, Avenatti tweeted a picture of himself with Daniels and Cooper.

The exact "60 Minutes" air date is unknown.
