LOS ANGELES — Stormy Daniels today filed a lawsuit at Los Angeles Superior Court seeking a court order voiding the alleged “hush agreement” she made with President Trump.
Daniels claimed in the suit that the nondisclosure agreement is invalid and she is free to publicly discuss her tryst with Trump, which allegedly took place in 2006 and 2007 at locations such as the Beverly Hills Hotel and Lake Tahoe.
According to the suit, both Daniels and Trump lawyer Michael Cohen signed the agreement three days before the 2016 presidential election.
Trump is identified as David Dennison and Daniels is referred to as Peggy Peterson in the agreement. The documents include a blank where Trump is supposed to sign; however, he allegedly did not give his signature.
In the complaint, Daniels said she received $130,000 not to talk about Trump
“To be clear, the attempts to intimidate [Daniels] into silence and ‘shut her up’ in order to ‘protect Mr. Trump’ continue unabated,” the suit said. “On or about Feb. 27, 2018, Mr. Trump’s attorney Mr. Cohen surreptitiously initiated a bogus arbitration proceeding against [Daniels] in Los Angeles.”
Los Angeles attorney Michael Avenatti represents Daniels in the suit.
