"Our awards process has been criticized as being more like a popularity contest," Cybersocket President Morgan Sommer told XBIZ. "I don't have any issue with that because it is a popularity contest. What we are looking for is what the surfers think are the best websites. And the same thing when it comes to the industry website process. ... It's not necessarily what is the very best on subjective criteria."
"This makes our process different. It's not a private panel of judges analyzing it," he said. "We open it up."
