Erotic Heritage Museum Partners With Inaugural Black Sexpo

LAS VEGAS — The Erotic Heritage Museum announced today its partnership and support of the I Love Being Black Festival's inaugural Black Sexpo.

To be held tomorrow, Saturday, the event is part of a month-long celebration by the ILBBF's hope to revamp traditional Black History celebrations with unique events and experiences in Sin City.

"We are thrilled to be supporting the first-ever Black Sexpo in Las Vegas," EHM Director Dr. Victoria Hartmann said. "It's so important to celebrate the uniqueness of sexual expression, and this event brings visibility to a demographic rich in its history, yet underrepresented in modern culture as a positive, sensual force."

The EHM will be a featured vendor at the Black Sexpo, bringing awareness and erotic expression to this often-untapped demographic.

"We are delighted to partner with the EHM, because it gives our audience permission to celebrate being black and sexy, especially during Black History Month," primary ILBBF organizer Jessica "Jess Flo" Washington said.

The first-ever Black Sexpo will also feature local sexologist, author and Dr. TaMara Griffin as the event's keynote speaker. Tickets are available here .

"Our goal is not to minimize current Black History acknowledgements, but to simply bring a fresh awareness to African American businesses in Las Vegas, the multiple layers of our culture, and our many contributions beyond Martin Luther King, Jr and Rosa Parks," ILBBF organizer Deborah Porter said. "The ILBB Festival is part of a growing Afro-futurism trend, where African Americans are manifesting and creating new perspectives."

Additional events throughout the 45-day celebration will include live interactive events, a focus on black businesses, online and real-life social engagement, political process education, and voter registration at every live event.

The festival will also host a premiere of Marvel's "Black Panther" tonight, Friday, held at the black-owned Eclipse Theatre in downtown Las Vegas.

The Erotic Heritage Museum houses more than 24,000 square feet of permanent and featured exhibits. The museum's ethos is that sexual pleasure and its depiction are natural aspects of the human experience, and that such celebrations of individual human sexuality — that of pleasure — must be made available to all, regardless of gender, race, or belief.

The Erotic Heritage Museum is located at 3275 Sammy Davis Jr. Dr., Las Vegas,  89109. For more information, click here or call (702) 794-4000.
