LOS ANGELES — Christy Canyon, a former Vivid Girl and current Vivid Radio host, will be inducted into the Vivid Entertainment Hall of Fame on Wednesday.
A Pasadena, Calif., native, Canyon graduated North Hollywood High School in 1984, the same year she made her first video and the year Vivid Entertainment was founded. Her video sales took off, the company reported.
“Christy’s career was symbolic of the industry’s excitement in the ‘80s and ‘90s,” said Steven Hirsch, founder and co-chairman of Vivid. "Some of her top movie titles include ‘Comeback,’ ‘The Show’ and the ‘Passages Series 1-4.’
"With her beauty, glamour and smarts she was the perfect Vivid Girl ambassador for the dynamic growth that developed during that period. Her loyal fans still connect with her daily on Vivid Radio. We are delighted to honor her with an induction into our Hall of Fame.”
Canyon added, “My connection with Vivid is long and close. This is truly the ultimate recognition for me and one that I will treasure. I look forward to talking to my fans about it.”
Canyon’s fans can listen to her live daily from noon to 1 p.m. (PST) on her radio show, heard on VividRadio.com and on Sirius XM channel 415. Fans can also reach Canyon at (855) 99-VIVID.
