Sara Jay, Angelina Castro to Host Industry Support Events in South Florida

LOS ANGELES — Adult stars Sara Jay and Angelina Castro have announced that they are starting regular industry support events in South Florida in response to the recent series of tragic deaths in the industry.

The first event will be hosted on Jan. 31 in Miami and is open to all talent in the adult industry.

According to a rep, the events, which Castro and Jay have dubbed ''Porn Gettys'' — will be a chance for any talent working in the adult industry to get together, socialize, support one another and to build a sense of community and friendship.

“The adult industry has suffered a series of tragic losses in recent weeks with the untimely deaths of Shyla Stylez, August Ames, Yurizan Beltran, Olivia Nova and Oliva Lua yesterday,” Jay said. “It is our goal to have regular social events for the large talent pool in Florida to support and help each other. Adult is a tough business and can cause strain on talent. The girls on the east coast largely have no industry support structure in place when times get tough. Angelina and I are reaching out to talent to provide a place they can interact, discuss issues with other industry talent and also have some fun in the process."

Castro added, “Our goal is have a place talent can feel they can connect with other talent when they feel depressed, lonely, lost or even suicidal. Adult is unlike any other business in the world and a lot of talent simply don't feel comfortable turning to a traditional therapist or support group. South Florida is known for using some of the newest talent in the business.

“In addition to some of the well publicized tragedies in recent weeks we have seen similar less publicized deaths in South Florida. 'Hot Girls Wanted' on Netflix was largely filmed in South Florida,” Castro continued. “Some may argue that film was an inaccurate portrayal of the adult industry, but the struggles of the girls depicted are real. Sara and I have both been in adult for over a decade each and want to offer our friendship to anyone who wants it."

Talent interested in getting together on Jan. 31 can contact Sara at sarajayxxx@gmail.com or Angelina at angelinacastrolive@yahoo.com for details.
