PHILADELPHIA — The master license holder for the Penthouse Club brand said that more nightclub licensees are on the horizon for the first quarter of 2018.
Kirkendoll Management LLC, which acquired the rights to the Penthouse Club master license worldwide in April, said that negotiations are currently underway with operators of venues nationally and internationally.
“The company’s nightclub division has more than doubled in size since acquiring the master license and continues to grow at a record pace,” said John Kirkendoll, the founder and CEO of the management firm.
“Whether through a licensing deal or a more hands-on approach such as a management agreement or buyout, Kirkendoll Management is looking to bring the Penthouse Club’s ultra-premium experience to major markets worldwide.”
New Orleans-based Kirkendoll Management has six licensees for Penthouse Clubs domestically in California, Florida and Michigan, and internationally in Australia, New Zealand and Russia.
Just last week, Kirkendoll Management made a move with a club it previously licensed in Philadelphia, purchasing the venue from the licensee.
The Philadelphia Penthouse Club now joins two other wholly owned and operated Penthouse Clubs in the firm’s portfolio.
Kirkendoll Management’s portfolio includes the Penthouse Clubs in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, as well as the Crazy Horse Cabaret of Port Allen, La., and the Gold Club in Gonzales, La.
“The [Philadelphia] purchase will mark the licensor’s first club buyout since acquiring the brand’s master license in April 2017 and will serve to expand the company’s nightclub-industry reach outside of Louisiana,” Kirkendoll said.
