ManyVids Campaign Donates $12K to SWOP-USA

LOS ANGELES — ManyVids has announced its donation of $11,753.53 to the Sex Workers Outreach Program (SWOP-USA) as part of its #WeAreMany social media campaign in an effort to help end abuse in the sex industry.

According to the company, the #WeAreMany campaign raised awareness for SWOP-USA, a charitable organization and “national social justice network” dedicated to ending the stigma around sex work and ensuring sex workers are safe from violence.

“Thank you to everyone who shared their passionate response to the launch of our #WeAreMany campaign,” states a ManyVids spokesperson. “We read every comment on Twitter, YouTube, and on our MV Blog and are grateful that so many people joined us in speaking out against abuse in the sex industry.”

During the campaign, ManyVids.com provided a percentage of every sale towards the donation, with the exact amount displayed in real time on a counter at the top of the site. MV Stars’ payouts were not affected, and audience activism was encouraged by asking fans and performers alike to add their voice to the #WeAreMany conversation on Twitter.

The donation will be presented to SWOP-USA on December 17, 2017, the International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers.

“We are honored to be able to help SWOP-USA support the sex work community,” the spokesperson adds. “Not only do they raise general awareness of this very important social justice issue, they supply hands-on resources that include a community support line (877-776-2004 ext. 1), media outreach for issues that affect sex workers, grant funding for sex work community events and organizations and more.”

“We want to extend our thanks to SWOP-USA for the amazing things they do to make the sex industry a safer place,” the spokesperson concludes. “We are proud to be able to offer our support to their wonderful organization. Together #WeAreMany and there’s nothing we can't achieve.”

For more information on the #WeAreMany campaign or SWOP-USA, or to discuss any issues they face in the sex industry, performers can email help@manyvids.
