NEW YORK — Dame Products’ co-founder Alexandra Fine is profiled in Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list in the retail and ecommerce category.
According to her profile, Fine “teamed up with mechanical engineer Janet Lieberman in 2014 to launch Dame Products, a line of vibrators for women (by women) that are aimed at closing the 'pleasure gap.' Their two products both broke crowdfunding records, with the hands-free 'Eva' becoming the most successful sex toy crowdfunding campaign in history. It has since grossed some $5 million.”
Dame Products made history in 2014 when its flagship product, Eva became the most highly crowd-funded adult product on Indiegogo, raising $575k in less than two months — more than 10 times their initial goal of $50k.
Last November, Dame Products became the first sex toy on Kickstarter, with a campaign for its second product, Fin — an ergonomically designed finger vibe.
Dame Products coined the term “Pleasure Gap” to describe the disparity between men and women’s pleasure during sex. Eva — and the revamped Eva II — is hands-free vibes that provide women clitoral stimulation during sex with unique flexible wings that keep the vibrator in place by tucking under a woman’s labia majora.
