Virtual.porn Says VR Investment Is Moving Upward

LOS ANGELES — Investment in the virtual reality porn space continues to accelerate, according to a leading VR adult company.

Jeff, an executive with Virtual.porn, said that his company is seeing “heavy action” from many key players on the tech side, content side and marketing side of this new market.

Virtual.porn is seeing an uptick, Jeff said, as consumers gravitate to viewing immersive sporting events, car shows and games.

He said that the “undeniable truth continues to be the fact that porn is still the primary catalyst for headset adoption on a global scale.”

“With upgraded headsets provided by Oculus, Dell, HP and other new manufacturers, the need for higher-resolution video is becoming a necessity and that symbiotic relationship is fueling both the content and headset markets,” Jeff said.

On the camera side of the equation, many studios have new VR camera rigs to custom-create porn scenes.

Some scenes have already been made available at a “mind-blowing” 5400x2700 with 60FPS in H.265, Jeff said.

“As the content landscape continues to evolve around virtual porn, with new cameras and tech breakthrough coming out, many other top providers will also soon supply VR at high-enough quality to further immerse users into their virtual porn,” Jeff said. “The question is not if at this point but when.”

“We're all waiting for studios like Virtual Real Porn, Reality Lovers, WankzVR and NaughtyAmerica to push the envelope and really rip the fabric of reality once and for all,” he said.
