SAN DIEGO — Tasha Reign, the current APAC chairperson, is heading to University of California San Diego with colleague, and current APAC president, Mia Li to discuss consent, sexual boundaries and more.
She will speak at the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity house during a special appearance tonight at 9:30 p.m.
Much like her recent panel at UCLA’s AEPi house, the event is not open to the public, but Reign and other adult film stars are accepting bookings to speak about consent and provide sex education at higher education institutions nationwide. “I'm beyond ecstatic that my appearance at UCLA's fraternity, AEPi, on Oct. 11 struck a chord with other brothers at UCSD,” Reign said. “I had hoped it would, and to see it come to fruition is extremely rewarding. With today's social media, it's never been easier for people to reach out and create.
“With all of the media attention surrounding ‘celebrity’ sexual predators, it is apparent this epidemic is rampant in our country because there has been an astounding lack of sexual education and we aren’t providing our young adults with the important tools to navigate sex in a healthy and pleasurable manner,” she added. “Nothing has made me feel like giving back more than being able to talk to college-age students about consent, sex, and why the discussion is pertinent to their lives and everyone around them, regardless of sexual orientation."
As incidents of sexual assault, rape and sexual harassment on college campuses around the country continue to grow, Reign and others have been speaking out to raise awareness on the importance of consent and respect for women, a spokesperson reported.
Li, who joined the adult industry at 21, joins Reign in her effort to educate students and provide a safer campus environment.
“I am really proud of Tasha tor taking on this challenge and providing students with vital information about respect for women, boundaries and that no means no,” Li said.
