FSC Announces Siouxsie Q's Departure

LOS ANGELES — Siouxsie Q, the Free Speech Coalition’s director of policy and industry relations, announced her departure from the organization after serving as part of the team’s legislative and regulatory successes during the past two years.

Siouxsie Q will continue to work as an advocate for sex worker rights as a community member.

“Siouxsie came aboard shortly after I took over in early 2016, as part of a push to elevate performer voices in the organization,” said Eric Paul Leue, executive director of the FSC.

“She was integral to the success of our work with Cal/OSHA and against Prop 60, and helped us focus squarely on larger issues like sex work decriminalization. After almost two years of intense work, however, we understand her decision and wish her all the best for the future.”

Siouxsie Q was the organization’s first director of policy and industry relations and a crucial point of contact for performers during the legislative and regulatory battles that marked her term, Leue said.

Leue noted she was an active voice for the organization, on social media, in the press and on broadcast media. She also helped to conceive the INSPIRE program, which will provide resources and guidance for new entrants to the industry.

“I am incredibly proud of the work we did over these past two years, and the decision to move forward was a difficult one,” Siouxsie Q said. “I am still passionately dedicated to our causes and although I am leaving my post at FSC, I will continue my journey as a fierce advocate for sex worker rights and freedom of speech.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to have fought alongside so many amazing and inspirational people during my time with the organization, and I look forward to continuing my political work for the adult industry in a new capacity.”

The FSC said it will announce details about the open position in the coming months.
