"They've already been authored, but we work with a lot of postproduction houses, and the tapes are just missing in action," 3rd Degree President Joey Wilson told XBIZ. "This is disturbing because it is a master tape. It's a matter of the edited master out there floating around. In this day of piracy to let a master out there is dangerous."
The loss, however, won't stop the scheduled release of the video, which will ship May 22, and if necessary the edit can be recreated from the original material, Wilson said.
"We do have the original camera masters and the edit lists. We have all the elements. It's not stopping us from putting it out, it's at replication now," Wilson said. "We've done some very innovative stuff with the DVD on the interactive scale, and the packaging itself is a 'portrait package.' It can stand on your shelf like a portrait of Alektra."
Wilson has asked for information regarding the whereabouts of the master. He can be reached at (818) 576-9001 ext. 138, or by email to joey@thirddegreefilms.com. No questions will be asked.
