LOS ANGELES — The Free Speech Coalition today published an analysis of Measure B and its position on the law that is subject to enforcement within Los Angeles County.
Formally known as the Safer Sex in the Adult Film Industry Act, Measure B requires condoms to be used on all adult production sets countywide and forces producers to apply for public health permits and pay fees that will fund inspections and enforcement led by the county Department of Public Health.
The FSC, in its published analysis, asks, “Want to know if the new Measure B permitting affects you and your business?”
“While the law is still very new, and there are many uncertainties still in how it will be enforced, we’ve broken down the basics,” the FSC said.
In the analysis, the FSC answers the following questions:
- What is Measure B?
- Who does this affect?
- How do I comply?
- What is the punishment if I don’t comply?
- Is this different from Prop 60?
- How did Measure B pass? And why is it only in effect now?
- What’s next?
- What is FSC’s position on the law?
FSC Executive Director Eric Paul Leue will be at XBIZ Berlin next week, from Monday through Thursday, for meetings and membership engagements. To view the full XBIZ Berlin schedule, click here.
