Fun Factory Introduces Fun Cup

LOS ANGELES — German manufacturer Fun Factory has released the Fun Cup reusable menstrual cup.

Made from brightly colored silicone, the cup’s anatomical shape is designed for a comfortable. It can be worn for up to 12 hours at a time. The Fun Cup is designed and packaged to provide a body-friendly menstrual product to period-havers of all genders, the company says.

A small, soft, insertable cup, the Fun Cup has a curved, tapered shape designed to be comfortable and foreplay-friendly. Users can enjoy clit stimulation, cunnilingus and shallow penetration with fingers or a toy without taking out their cup. According to the company, while tampons cause dryness and microabrasions, the Fun Cup keeps the vagina healthy, comfortable and ready for action.

The cup is available in two sizes, a smaller Size A and larger Size B, for lighter or heavier flows. Each package comes with two of the same size — one to keep at home and the other to carry — or customers can choose the Explore Kit, which has one of each size, for those who aren’t sure which is right for them.

The company says that 80 percent of product testers preferred having both sizes, for different protection on lighter and heavier days. Customers also get a gender-neutral Tyvek carrying bag. Antimicrobial and lint-free, the storage bag keeps the Fun Cup clean and ready to use.

The Fun Cup can be washed and reused. It also has an eco-friendly factor, the company says, noting that tampon and pad users create 250-300 pounds of period-related waste over the course of a lifetime. Additionally, it comes in 100 percent recyclable packaging.

“Given Fun Factory’s commitment to sexual wellness — and good sex generally — this was an obvious next step for us,” said Kristen Tribby, Fun Factory’s director of marketing and education. “The Fun Cup is a healthier, medical grade silicone alternative to tampons. Healthy vaginas mean better sex.”

The Fun Cup is available at FunFactory.com.
