"I wanted to do something a little crazy before I graduate and do become a lawyer ...I'm not that shy," Dominguez said. She did the nude shoot after answering an ad on Craigslist.
A California native, Dominguez graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and was an intern with the domestic violence unit of the Brooklyn district attorney's office. She has also served as treasurer of her law school's Legal Association of Activist Women.
Adult industry attorney Michael Fattorosi told XBIZ, "The fact that she posed nude is not tantamount to her being incapable as a litigator, a lawyer, a representative of her client's interests. I think in today's society, the fact that someone may have posed nude, or appeared in a 'Girls Gone Wild' video, is going to be rather common. That obviously does not disqualify them from being effective counsel."
A representative of the New York State Bar's Committee on Character and Fitness, which examines the personal character of future lawyers, said, "It may have an effect. It's a possibility in the worst-case scenario that the person does not get admitted."
A fellow student at Brooklyn Law has said she should have been smart enough to know better.
"It's a striptease. A bit trashy," the young woman said. "I look at her differently. She's definitely smart. It was just a bad decision."
