“I’m very excited and a little nervous, because it’s the first time in several years that I’m going to be working for another company and not own the product,” De’Nyle said. “I just want to do a real good job.”
De’Nyle was a key figure in the formation of Platinum X Pictures and her deal with Pleasure includes the distribution rights to 59 titles she produced for Platinum X, which will be handled through a new, yet-to-be-named studio label under the Pleasure Productions banner.
Pleasure Productions Director of Marketing and Publicity John Paone told XBIZ that De’Nyle will be based in New York and will shoot her girl-girl lines there, while occasionally traveling to California for boy-girl scenes because of talent availability.
“This is our latest acquisition, and we feel it is a good one,” Pleasure Productions owner Frank Kay said. “Jewel has been well respected in front of the camera and behind, and we are looking forward to some great new additions to her line.”
Preliminary discussions are already underway for De’Nyle to shoot an interactive sex title with Pleasure Productions contract star Tera Wray. De’Nyle also plans to use Ariana Jollee in her all-girl series, “No Boyz, No Toyz,” featuring only New York girls.
“I live in New York, and I think there’s a good talent pool here,” De’Nyle said. “I think the girls don’t know who to go to, so they go out to L.A. Now that I’ve contacted them, and they know it’s legit and not a scam, I’ve been able to convince them and kind of re-establish the New York scene.”
“No Boyz, No Toyz” will feature music from a neoclassical guitarist, a fan of De’Nyle’s that she met on MySpace.
