The album, “Role Play,” contains 10 musical tracks and two interludes, and takes the listener through India’s “personal diary” of her life on-screen and off. Her vocals have been featured on the “Walking Tall” soundtrack starring The Rock.
“Role Play” is garnering significant buzz in the rap world, not only because of India’s adult movie career, but because dirty South rapper Young Joc lends vocals to the first single, “2am.”
India will celebrate the release of her album April 21 with an invite-only listening party at Jay Z’s 40/40 club in New York. DJ Green Latern, DJ Envy, comedian Damon Williams and “America’s Next Top Model” star Jade are scheduled to attend.
“I named my album ‘Role Play’ because I role-play in my everyday life,” India said. “I have three different personalities — the diva, the bad girl and the ghetto girl. Role playing is a normal thing for me and this album is about me, my life, and the experiences I have had so far.”
The entertainer plans to embark on a promotional tour for the album April 20-24 in New York, Atlanta, Minneapolis, St. Louis and Chicago. Additionally, India is scheduled to hit the airwaves for appearances on New York’s Hot 97 FM, Sirius and XM Radio for a series of interviews.
Fans can listen to three tracks from the album on India’s MySpace page, MySpace.com/IndiasPlayhouse.
