Bitcoin Play Releases '58 Insane Facts About Bitcoin' Infographic

LOS ANGELES — Cryptocurrency in general and Bitcoin, in particular, has held a long fascination for the adult entertainment industry, which is enamored with the idea of an anonymous, chargeback-proof, instant payment mechanism.

While the jury remains out as to whether Bitcoin represents a brave new world of billing or is simply an enormous scam, its tumultuous validation is once again on the upswing — driving renewed interest for its use for online porn payments.

Providing an accessible and insightful look at its first decade as an alternative to the Dollar, Bitcoin Play released an infographic entitled “58 Insane Facts About Bitcoin.”

Among the findings, one percent of Bitcoin holders own 99 percent of Bitcoin; transaction fees have risen nearly 1,300 percent in little over two years, and the U.S. FBI owns around 1.5 percent of Bitcoin.

Also noted was the level of Bitcoin in circulation as of July of this year, which hit more than 16 million of the cryptocurrency’s maximum mining limit of 21 million Bitcoins.

The topic of Bitcoin has repeatedly surfaced at XBIZ’s market-leading online billing seminars, to disdain from the industry’s established billing providers, but with adult entertainment a seemingly ideal market for cryptocurrency, and Bitcoin’s apparently upward fortunes, this opportunity is sure to be revisited.
