Naked Sword, Top Gay Studios Raise Money for Charity

SAN FRANCISCO — NakedSword.com, in conjunction with numerous studio partners, donated more than $11,000 March 24 to five local charities, including the Free Speech Coalition, in a check-presenting ceremony at San Francisco’s Magnet Center for Men’s Health.

Joining NakedSword.com in the fundraiser were Channel 1 Releasing, Falcon Entertainment, Hot House, Lucas Entertainment, Raging Stallion, All Worlds Video and Studio 2000. NakedSword raised the funds in accompaniment to the company’s GayVN Awards after-party.

“These studios proved that supporting the gay and adult communities is just as crucial as producing movies,” NakedSword CEO Tim Valenti said. “We wanted to celebrate their accomplishments while helping benefit people in need. It’s crucial that we all band together at a time when the adult industry is under increased scrutiny.”

In addition to the FSC, an organization of which Valenti is a board member, other charities benefiting from the contributions were Magnet SF, St. James Infirmary, STOP AIDS and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

Sister Edith, a member of the Sisters and a NakedSword employee, was excited to host the event.

“I was very pleased to be able to combine my secular and Sisterly lives,” Sister Edith told TimAndRomaBlog.com, the blog of NakedSword and the Tim and Roma Show. “The generosity of these studios makes me very proud to work in the gay porn industry. This shows the industry’s detractors that we really do take care of our own.”
