Chaturbate Talks 'Safe Sex in the Digital Age' at Woodhull Summit

SAN DIEGO — Chaturbate presented the workshop "Safe Sex in the Digital Age" at the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit on Friday, Aug. 4, exploring the safety of web camming on the internet.

"There are specific ways to keep personal privacy and secure information when camming online; our workshop gave those new to online sex sites practical and effective ways to confidently explore this profitable and empowering community," said Chaturbate's chief operations officer, Shirley Lara.

Chaturbate Broadcaster and LGBTQ Rights activist, Kelly Pierce, presented the workshop "Safe Sex in the Digital Age," offering insight on the role live cams play in the adult industry, privacy protection while web camming and other tips to make the most of a performer's time spent on cam sites.

Pierce said, "Chaturbate's approach to providing inclusiveness to all models is groundbreaking, even in this day and age. The community feel of Chaturbate offers some inherent protection of broadcaster privacy. My workshop included additional information for those that may not be convinced there is such a thing as safe and private web camming."

According to a representative, Woodhull Freedom Foundation's annual Sexual Freedom Summit brings together human rights activists, sexuality educators and researchers, professionals from the legal and medical fields, authors, sexual freedom movement leaders and organizational partners, to expand and advance recognition of sexual freedom as a fundamental human right.

Woodhull's Sexual Freedom Summit was held Aug. 3-6, at the Sheraton Pentagon City in Arlington, Va. For information on the 2018 summit, visit SexualFreedomSummit.org
