CHATSWORTH, Calif. — On a pleasantly warm Saturday evening up in the Chatsworth hills, about 900 animal lovers and adult entertainment industry luminaries made it out to Kelly Holland’s annual summer animal rescue fundraiser, Vice Is Nice.
The 2017 edition of Vice Is Nice on Saturday was expected to be the most ambitious production to date. It did not disappoint.
The annual affair, which draws a curious mix of animal rescue peeps and adult entertainment stars and producers, was lively through the night at Holland’s four-acre Rancho Providencia in Chatsworth, Calif. Holland is owner of adult entertainment company Penthouse Global Media.
With strung lights leading them through her compound, those who came out were treated to a celebrity poker tournament, individual poker and blackjack tables, tarot card readings, DJs spinning the discs on the dance floor, roaming performers and hourly raffles.
Those who ventured into Holland’s grand ranch home could pick up a drink and maybe get a henna tattoo. Outside the front of the house were scores of silent auction tables loaded with gift baskets from local companies that donated everything from Santa Anita racetrack tickets to dog grooming sessions. Even dining at Mort’s Deli in Northridge was up for a silent bid.

While Vice Is Nice is a fundraiser, it also doubles as a great place for many in the adult entertainment industry to get caught up while sipping on specialty cocktails and maybe trying out the all-vegetarian menu of pizza, tamales and papusas, as well as handsome desserts.
For the past eight years, Holland, Penthouse’s owner, has orchestrated the summer evening event that raises funds for The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA), a no-kill shelter she runs that provides rescue, adoption and sanctuary for abandoned and abused companion and farm animals.
TARA, which is operated from Holland’s ranch, is a haven for goats, horses, donkeys, parrots and geese, cats and dogs.
This year’s Vice Is Nice additionally raised money for the organizations Pink Paws, Rags2Wags, Operation Blankets of Love and Colorado-based Douglas County Canine Rescue.
Vice Is Nice, which depends on attendee admission donations, also relies on direct sponsorship. About half of the event’s proceeds are from company sponsorships.
“We absolutely love this event, and Hustler, as a sponsor, is proud to be associated with Vice Is Nice,” Holly Ruprecht, Hustler’s senior manager of business development, told XBIZ.
Some of those adult entertainment luminaries attending Vice Is Nice on Saturday included Jessica Drake, Brad Armstrong, Rob Spallone, Siouxie Q, Lauren Phillips, Rebel Lynn, Chris Cock, Jenna Sativa, Brandy Aniston, Angela White, Olive Glass, Riley Reyes, Christiana Cinn, Riley Nixon, Alison Rey, Penny Pax, Barrett Blade, Dee Severe, Riley Nixon, Alex Chance, Mo Reese and Melissa Hill, among many others.
