Kira Lee (Dani Daniels) Returning to 212 Arts for Solo Show on June 22

NEW YORK — Kira Lee (a.k.a. Dani Daniels, 2016 XBIZ Female Performer of the Year) is returning to 212 Arts on June 22 for her latest exhibit, “Cartoons and Characters — A Small Canvas Show.”

According to a representative, the show will highlight 50 small paintings of famous cartoons and characters all done in Lee's signature typographic pointillism style.

"212 Arts will always hold a special place in my heart, it was my very first gallery show in NYC," Lee enthused. "I am looking forward to this show. This has been a fun show to create and I can't wait to show the work."

The paintings are all 12" x 12" and are priced at $550 per piece. The cartoons are created with some of the characters most famous lines and features images from “Archer,” “Adventure Time,” “Looney Tunes,” “Futurama,” “Rick and Morty,” “Jessica Rabbit” and others.

"We had a very successful first show with Kira and couldn't wait to have her show again at our gallery," said Marc Leader, owner and curator of 212 Arts. "Her unique typographic pointillism style is a must see and ever more of a must own."

Lee burst into the art scene last year with her first show in NYC and has since shown at Art Basel, Smile Design Gallery and ACA Gallery to great success, a representative indicated.

“Kira Lee has created a new form of pointillism using lyrics and words to form the portraits of iconic people, characters and scenes,” the representative added. “Kira loved the idea of creating iconography with using connected typography. Using theories to outline horn-rimmed glasses. Song lyrics twisted and turned into locks of hair. Heart-aching poems carved into crow’s feet. Culture-defining philosophies stitched into a silk robe. Gathering these beautiful writings and celebrating them collectively with something as dynamic as the artist's portrait.  The results are breath-taking pieces that draw your attention and keeps your gaze as time passes.”

Lee concluded, "I wanted to do a fun show that is at affordable pricing for fans of my art.  I am really happy with the results. The pieces are fun and give a nice introduction to typographic pointillism. I can wait to show off my newest work!”

The show opens June 22 from 6-9 p.m. and will run for a month at 212 Arts, located at 240 E. 4th Street, NYC. For more information, contact Vic Cipolla at (646) 477-1282 or Vic@EvilGenius.nyc.
