DALLAS — Exxxotica plans on fighting the City of Dallas with a federal appeal after it blocked the consumer show from being held at its city-owned convention center.
Exxxotica’s parent company, Three Expo Events LLC, filed a challenge this week with the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals after a federal judge tossed its suit against the city because the wrong corporate entity was named as plaintiff and lacked standing.
Exxxotica filed suit last year after the City Council voted to ban the expo from returning to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
The appeal by adult industry attorney J. Michael Murray asks for the 5th Circuit to quash the approval to dismiss the suit and deny Exxxotica from filing a second-amended complaint.
Three Expo operates numerous adult entertainment shows across the U.S., including the upcoming Chicago Exxxotica.
