VENICE, Calif. — While Mick Blue has established himself in the adult industry and won multiple XBIZ Awards for his performances, he is now switching lanes and trying his hand at a new career path: race car driving.
“Ever since I was little I have dreamed of racing cars,” Blue said. “It’s a dream that has been in waiting for many years while I’ve been working in the adult industry, but I’ve never forgotten about it and feel like it’s time to put a plan in action. I know I have some very generous friends and fans, so I really hope they will help me make this dream come true.”
Blue has completed two levels of training at Skip Barber Racing School and competed in the Racing Academy Shootout last month at Atlanta Motorsports Park. He raced against 30 new drivers from around the world and placed in the top 10 after just three days of racing.
Now, he has been invited to race in the 2017 Skip Barber Championship Series with the opportunity to win a $100,000 scholarship. He has established a GoFundMe page to help raise the $35,970 needed to borrow the Skip Barber race car for the 18 races in the Champion Series that are planned over six weekends.
“I want to show everyone that even at 40 years old it is possible to achieve your goals,” Blue added. “We need to continue dreaming big and great things can happen. For this dream to come true would be one of the greatest achievements in my life. It’s been amazing so far.”
