Holly Madison Sues Distributor of Penis Pills

LOS ANGELES — Holly Madison, a former Playboy Bunny and live-in girlfriend of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, has sued over a purportedly false article that appeared online that quotes Madison as saying Hefner regularly took Blackcore Edge penis pills to get “stronger, bigger.”

Madison, in her suit against Edgeline Performance, distributor of Blackcore Edge pills, said the alleged fake news piece was posted on a site masquerading as Men’s Health.

Madison claims in her suit filed at Los Angeles Superior Court that the site falsely quotes her as saying that when Hefner took this pill, “15 minutes later his blood would start pumping! He got stronger, bigger and lasted as long as an 18-year-old.”

She also claims that the article also falsely attributed the comments that Hefner was “a whole new man” with the product and that the pills “create a very enjoyable experience for all the girls in the mansion.”

Madison’s relationship with Hefner spanned from 2001 to 2008, but she claims the testimonials weren’t hers or made with her consent.

The complaint against Edgeline Performance and its related parent, 5310 Holdings LLC, doesn’t indicate who or what company is directly responsible for the publication of the article on the site, but the suit claims that will come later in discovery.

“Every statement and comment allegedly attributed to plaintiff in the article is false,” the suit claims. “[Madison] has never made any such recommendation and did not give consent for the use of her name or image in the article.”

The article also included photos of Madison touting her purported endorsement of Blackcore Edge.

Madison is suing for unspecified damages for violation of her common law right of publicity and for the use of her name, image and likeness without her permission.

She also alleges false association, claiming the article was likely to cause confusion or deceive the general public, as well as unjust enrichment, false advertising and unfair competition.
