NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — A celebration of life for adult industry performer, activist and historian Bill Margold has been scheduled for Sunday.
Margold passed away earlier this week at age 73.
“It’s a big loss and shock for the industry, his friends and everyone that knew him,” said veteran adult performer Amber Lynn, who is helping to organize the celebration.
“For many, Bill was always who you called if you had a problem, gossip, or any other issue with work, for lots of people in the industry. I’ve known him since I was 19 years old so, to think of the industry without Bill is really hard to imagine.”
Former adult performer Veronica Hart called Margold “cantankerous at all times.”
“But so knowledgeable and his intentions were the best. He was such a part of this business,” Hart said.
“Give Holliday and Viper a hug for me,” said Hart, referring to Margold’s one-time girlfriend who was known as Viper, as well as his good friend legendary director Jim Holliday.
The celebration of Margold’s life on Sunday will be held between 1-4 p.m. at a private residence in the San Fernando Valley. The address is 5839 Cleon Ave., North Hollywood, Calif., 91601.
The celebration will be held in an outdoor space, so those attending should dress accordingly, in semi-casual attire. Those who remember Margold will be welcome to recall fond memories and enjoy light refreshments.
