LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures received 17 XBIZ Awards this year, with more than half honoring their two high-profile releases: “The Preacher’s Daughter” and “Suicide Squad XXX: An Axel Braun Parody.”
Creator Brad Armstrong’s couples drama “The Preacher’s Daughter” won six feature movie categories, while Axel Braun’s “Suicide Squad XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” received three trophies.
“The Preacher’s Daughter” received one of the evening’s greatest honors, Feature Movie of the Year. Additionally, Armstrong received Director of the Year — Feature Release, Best Screenplay and Best Music, while the film’s leads, Mia Malkova and Xander Corvus, earned Best Actress — Feature Release and Best Actor — Feature Release, respectively.
Armstrong’s thriller “DNA” earned Asa Akira a Best Supporting Actress trophy, while the movie’s camerawork by Alex Ladd and Barrett Blade snared Best Cinematography.
The Best Supporting Actor award went to industry veteran Eric Masterson for his work in Armstrong’s “The J.O.B.”
“Suicide Squad XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” received three XBIZ Awards, Parody Release of the Year, Director of the Year — Parody and Tommy Pistol’s portrayal of The Joker earned Best Actor — Parody Release.
Jessica Drake took home XBIZ’s Sexpert of the Year Award, which recognized her best-selling sex education series, “Jessica Drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex,” which provides demonstrations and frank discussions of sex techniques, fetishes and intimacy issues.
Cassidy Klein received Best Actress — Couples-Themed Release for her performance in Stormy Daniels’ Wicked Passions release “New Beginnings.”
Three international awards went to studios whose work is distributed domestically by Wicked. European producer Marc Dorcel, whose films have been released in the U.S. by Wicked for over 18 years, received two of the night’s international awards: European Studio of the Year and Foreign Feature Release of the Year for “My Daughter is a Whore. “
Lastly, amateur studio AbbyWinters.com won Amateur Release of the Year for “Girls and Their Boys 22.”
