Yanks.com Featured in Wired Article

LOS ANGELES — Yanks.com is featured in Angela Watercutter’s new Wired article, “Erika Lust: The Director on a Mission to Get More Women into Porn.”

The focus of Watercutter’s article was Erika Lust’s open call to fund ten adult films by female filmmakers. Lust operates XConfessions.com.

In addition to Lust, Watercutter interviewed Lily Campbell, a producer for Yanks.com and YanksVR.com, on the subject of female directors and producers in adult.

“Whoever is behind the scenes on a production will inevitably sway the attitude of the end product itself," Campbell said. "Porn is all about the perspective of the folks who make it. [Having women involved] is very important, lest we see a sea of predominantly white women with fake boobs having fake orgasms to continue to be the ‘norm’ for our porn choices.”

YanksCash CEO Billie Miller said, “We at Yanks are very happy that Angela chose to talk to us (for) this important article, and we are proud to be recognized along other pioneering women in the adult space such as Erika Lust.”
